Even for experienced travelers, Vietnam and Cambodia are truly exciting destinations. Sixty insurance agents spent an exciting and interesting week with us in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and Siem Reap. On the one hand, Vietnam’s capital is developing at a breathtaking pace into a trendy modern metropolis with great clubs and restaurants.

On the other hand, the temple complex of Angkor Wat in Cambodia feels like a journey back in time. In a single week, we traveled by xai lam, tuk-tuk, Vespa, oxcart, military Jeep plus barges, large and small. We explored Saigon, the Củ Chi tunnels, the Mekong Delta, Siem Reap, the temples of Angkor Wat and the hinterland. And we enjoyed excellent food, too: from simple but delicious elephant’s ear fish in the Mekong Delta to a four-course meal catered by Park Hyatt for the highlight of the trip, the final evening at the Thommanon Temple, with traditional dancers and modern acrobats – a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
